Iran Human Rights, August 18: Three prisoners were hanged in public in Karaj (a city west of Tehran) today.
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, three young men— identified asMeraj T., Ali A. and Milad P. (ages 20-24 years)— were hanged in three different spots of the city. The prisoners were reportedly convicted of theft, kidnapping and rape and were sentenced to prison, flogging and execution.
