One Prisoners Hanged in Public and Three Hanged in the Prison in Iran

Iran Human Rights, 9 October 2013: Four prisoners have been hanged in two different Iranian cities reported Iranian state media today.
One of the prisoners was a 23 year old man identified as H. A., reported the state run Iranian news agency ISNA. The Iranian State Broadcasting reported that H.A. was 21 year old. The prisoner was charged with armed robbery, spreading fear and Moharebeh and was hanged in public in the town of Fasa (southern Iran) today October 9.
Three prisoners were hanged in the prison of Rasht reported the state run Iranian news agency Fars today. The prisoners who were not identified by name were convicted of possession of 80 kilograms of crack. The executions were carry out on Thursday October 3., said the report.

According to the Iranian State Broadcasting the prisoners were convicted of possession and trafficking of 8 kilos and 500 grams and keeping and possession of 740 grams of heroin. None of the prisoners were identified by name.

Two Prisoners Executed Publicly in Northern Iran

Iran Human Rights, October 5: Two prisoners were hanged publicly in the city of Babol (northern Iran) today.
According to the state run Iranian news agency Fars the prisoners were identified as "M. S." (37) and "A. T." (33), convicted of murdering four members of a family in Babol.
The execution was carried our this morning in the "Shahar Niai" Boulevard of Babol.A family member of the offended carried out the executions.
Iran Human Rights (IHR) strongly condemns today’s executions. Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, the spokesperson of IHR said: "We also condemn the Iranian authorities for using the family of the offended, who already have suffered from loss of their loved ones, to conduct the executions. This is nothing else than promoting a culture of murder and brutality in the society".

Iran Human Rights, October 4: Six prisoners were hanged in the prison of Yazd (central Iran) early yesterday morning October 3, reported the Iranian state media.
Quoting hea of the Yadz Judiciary "Heydari" Iranian State Broadcasting reported that "five of the prisoners were convicted of possession, distribution and trafficking of 396 kilograms of different types of narcotic drugs including morphine, opium and heroin". One of the prisoners was convicted of a murderthat he had allegedly committed in 2009.
None of the prisoners were identified by name.
At least 219 prisoners have been executed since the June Presidential elections in Iran.

Iran Human Rights, October 1: Six prisoners were hanged in three different Iranian prisons, reported the Iranian state media. One of these prisoners was a woman who was hanged in the prison on September 25.
Three prisoners were hanged in the prison of Ardebil (north-western Iran) today, reported the Iranian State Broadcasting. The prisoners were identified as"a 39 year old man" convicted of trafficking 2 kilos and 10 grams of heroin, "a 37 year old man" convicted of trafficking 1831 grams of heroin, and "a 56 year old man" convicted of trafficking 17 kilos and 325 grams of crack, said the report.
The report also said that " so far this year (since March 21, 2013) 16 people have been executed in Ardebil, convicted of drug trafficking.
One man was hanged in the prison of Shiraz (southern Iran), reported the state run Iranian news agency Fars. According to the report the prisoner who was not identified by name, was 45 year old and was convicted of buying, possession and trafficking of 294 kilograms of cannabis and 1,5 kilograms of crack. The prisoner had been sentenced to life-time in prison, 360 million rials of fine, 50 lashes and execution. The execution was carried out early this morning.
One man and one women were hanged in the prison of Mashhad (northeastern Iran) reported the Iranian daily newspaper Khorasan. One of the prisoners was a 40 year old woman who was convicted of murdering her husband in 2007. The other prisoner was a 50 year old man who was also convicted of murdering a 65 year old man 7 years ago. The prisoners were hanged in the prison of Mashhad on September 25. and 23. respectively.
