25 Prisoners Were Executed in Iran, According to Unofficial Sources

Iran Human Rights, July 3: According to reports from reliable sources in Iran, yesterday and today 25 prisoners were executed in two different prisons in Iran.
None of the executions have been announced by official Iranian sources yet.
21 prisoners executed in Ghezel Hesar Prison of Karaj (west of Tehran) yesterday:
According to reliable sources that Iran Human Rights (IHR) has been in contact with 21 prisoners were hanged in the Ghezel Hesar prison of Karaj yesterday morning Tuesday July 2.
17 of the prisoners belonged to the Gehzelhesar prison while 4 prisoners had been transferred from other prisons to Ghezelhesar for implementation of the execution. One of the prisoners transferred from Rajai Shahr Prison was identified as "Mohsen Jahanbakhsh" born in 1977. Mr. Jahanbakhsh was sentenced to death by the judge Salavati, convicted of Moharebeh (war against God) for participation in armed robbery. His family were not informed about the execution and they were not given the opportunity of visiting him for the last time.
Identities of the other 20 prisoners are not known at the present moment but it has been reported that most of them were convicted of "Moharebeh", "corruption on earth" and drug related charges.
Four prisoners were hanged in the prison of Rajaei Shahr today:
According to IHR’s sources in Iran four prisoners were hanged in the Rajai Shahr Prison of Karaj (west of Tehran) early this morning July 3. The prisoners were all convicted of murder and three of them are identified as "Mohammad Jafari", "Ali Yadegari" and "Karim Taraj".
IHR strongly condemns today’s executions and warns about more executions in the days prior to the holy month of Ramadan. Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, the spokesperson of IHR urged the international community to react to these executions.

Four Executions in Iran- Two Hanged in Public- 13 Official Executions Since the Presidential Elections

Iran Human Rights, June 30: Four prisoners were hanged in two different Iranian cities today Sunday June 30. Two of the prisoners were hanged in public.
According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA two prisoners convicted of rape were hanged publicly in the city of Karaj (west of Tehran). The prisoners were identified as Arash Molaei (20 year old) and Behnam Sohrabi (24 year old) and were convicted of raping two girls in 2011.
Two other prisoners were hanged in the prison of Khoramabad (Lorestan Province western Iran) convicted of possession and trafficking of 2189 grams of the narcotic drug crystal, reported the Iranian state broadcasting today.
According to the official Iranian sources 13 people have been executed since the Iranian Presidential elections on June 14.

Iran Human Rights, June 29: Two prisoners were hanged in two Iranian cities today, reported the official Iranian media.
One of the prisoners was hanged publicly in "Salman Farsi" crossing of Ahwaz, reported the state run Iranian news agency Fars. The prisoner was identified as "M. T." and was convicted of buying and selling 17 kilos and 826 grams of psychostimulant drugs and selling 700 grams of crystal, said the report. The public hanging took place on Saturday morning June 29.
The other prisoner was a "young man" identified as "A.S." who was convicted of murdering another man identified as "Mohsen Hosseini-Nik" in 2006, reported Fars news agency. The prisoner was hanged in the prison of Gachsaran (western Iran) this morning. The report didn’t mention the age of the prisoner.
According to "Human rights and democracy activists in Iran" (HRDAI) three prisoners among them one Afghan citizen were hanged i the prison of Zahedan this morning. The prisoners were identified as "Aref Noorzahi" (Afghan citizen), Shir Mohammad Kashani, and Ghorbanali Soori. The report has not been announced by the official sources yet

Iran Human Rights, June 26: Two prisoners were hanged in the prison of Isfahan early this morning, reported the official Iranian media.
According to the Iranian state broadcasting, two prisoners were hanged in the central prison of Isfahan (central Iran) this morning. The prisoners who were not identified by name were convicted of 3195 grams of crack and 1150 grams of heroin said the report.

Iran Human Rights, June 21: After a two-week hiatus due to the Presidential election, Iranian authorities have begun to execute again. Four prisoners, including one woman, were hanged in Shahr-e-Kord (western Iran) on June 20.
According to the state official newspaper Kayhan, the prisoners were identified as Mohammad Ebdali, Vahid Fayooj, Golafrooz Fayooj (woman), and Ghobad Fayooj.
The four prisoners were convicted of purchasing, possessing, and trafficking 4,534 grams of heroin, said the report.
Three of the prisoners were hanged in Shahr-e-Kord Prison while Ghobad Fayooj was hanged in public in the "Mahdiyeh" area of Shahr-e-Kord. The public executions were carried out under heavy security.
Prisoners were elevated by using a crane and then hanged. It typically takes several minutes for the execution to be carried out when using the crane method.
Iran Human Rights (IHR) strongly condemns these executions. Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, the Founder and Spokesperson of IHR said: "It seems that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has recommenced the horror show after a two-week hiatus in order to carry out a show of democracy for the Presidential election." Amiry-Moghaddam called on the international community to condemn the executions.
Additionally, the execution of four other prisoners, who were convicted of murder, was scheduled for June 18 in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj (west of Tehran). One of the prisoners was hanged while the other three were pardoned by the families of the offended.
