Iran Human Rights, May 30: Two men were hanged in Rajai Shahr Prison of Karaj (west of Tehran).
According to the Iranian daily newspaper "Javan" two prisoners were hanged in the Rajai Shahr Prison last Wednesday. One of the prisoners was identified as "Alireza" convicted of pouring acid on the face of his stepfather in 2005. The stepfather died few days later as a result of the injuries. The report didn’t mention Alireza’s age at the time of committing the alleged offence.
The other prisoner who was an Afghan citizen identified as "Mohammad", was convicted of murdering an old couple and stealing their jewelery, said the report.

Iran Human Rights, May 25: According to unofficial sources in Iran, at least one woman was hanged on Wednesday, May 22 in Gharchak Prison, located in Varamin (a city near Tehran).
According to a report by Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran, the woman was identified as Giti Marami. She was 34 years old, married, and had one daughter. The report has also been confirmed by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA)
According to the reports, Mrs. Marami was flogged 100 times before she was hanged. Although the hanging occurred four days ago, state media in Iran has not released news of this execution.
The report states Mrs. Marami’s husband, Isa Aman Pour was sentenced to death 13 years ago and is in imminent danger of execution.

Two Prisoners Executed For Espionage in Tehran this Morning- At Least 62 Executions in Iran Since April 16

Iran Human Rights, May 19: Two prisoners were hanged in Tehran’s Evin Prison early this morning.
According to the state-run Iranian news agency Fars, the prisoners were identified as Koroush Ahmadi and Mohammad Heydari charged with "Espionage" and "Moharebeh" (waging war against God) for "Providing sensitive information to the CIA and Mossad (the Israeli intelligence agency)."
Iran Human Rights (IHR) is investigating the background of these prisoners.
Collaboration with foreign intelligence services is a charge commonly used by Iranian authorities against journalists and political activists.
IHR strongly condemns the execution of Koroush Ahmadi and Mohamad Heydari and holds Ali Khamenei, the Iranian Supreme Leader responsible for these executions. Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, the spokesperson of IHR urged the international community to condemn executions in Iran. Amiry -Moghaddam said: "Today’s executions are a part of the Iranian regime’s attempts to prevent dissent before the upcoming presidential elections in June. Ali Khamenei knows well that new protests may lead to the fall of his dictatorship." Amiry-Moghaddam added:"Several political prisoners are in imminent danger of execution in Iranian prisons. The international community must intervene to stop these executions."
Since April 16, at least 62 people have been executed in Iran.

Iran Human Rights, May 18: One prisoner was hanged in the prison of Khoramabad (western Iran) today May 18.
According to the Iranian state broadcasting one prisoner who was not identified by name, was hanged in the prison of Khoramabad early this morning. The prisoner was convicted of possession and trafficking of 768 grams of crack, said the report.

Iran Human Rights, May 15: Three prisoners were hanged in the Rajai Shahr Prison of Karaj (west of Tehran) today.
Iran Human Rights (IHR) reported yesterday that three prisoners were transferred from their wards at the Rajai Shahr Prison and scheduled to be executed today.
According to the reports from reliable sources two of the prisoners that IHR had reported about were executed today. These prisoners were identified as Hamid Shahriari from ward 1 and Hossein Nasiri from ward 6 and were convicted of murder. Afshin Karimi who was transferred from the ward 6 was not executed today.
A third prisoner whose identification will be announced in the near future was also executed in the Rajai Shahr Prison today.
Seven other prisoners were hanged in the prison of Rasht (northern Iran) today, said the Iranian state media.
